VR ONE Cinema App Reviews

Im using an iPod touch (latest model) and it crashes every time I select a video. Ive not ever been able to get it to work. If it worked, this would be the best app ever.

I just got a cardboard rig and was really looking forward to checking this app out. Works fine with an iPhone 5, but the images are too far apart on the 6 plus and I cant get them to converge. An option to adjust the alignment would be a wonderful feature in a future release.

An in app tutorial would be appreciated, but for a free app it easily deserves 5 stars! Lets you watch movies as if you were in a theater, and a great interface (intuitive but takes a minute to learn) makes it easy to navigate your videos.

works very well. to play videos hook up ur iphone to itunes and select apps, select the program and select movies you want to share with the app, after that ur good to go. has a minor problem of videos going black but reselecting video and replaying solves this issue. only happened a few times. was able to watch 2hr movie with no problem.

Obviously this is a new technology, and as such this app is a bit buggy. HOWEVER, the user interface for this app is a fantastic idea. Just turn your view to hover over a button. Brilliant! The tracking/accelerometer is not working very well, and sometimes movies play upside down. But all the same, Im looking forward to future updates. A couple suggestions: add a full screen mode in the media player, and if theres no easier way to fix the movie/picture orientation, just add a button to flip the image. With a little smoothing out, this app could be a huge hit when Cardboard/Stereoscopic tech goes mainstream (right about when the Oculus and Vive come out next year).

Works well with "Google Cardboard". Very nice user interface. 1 Star off though because most of the movies in my "Camera Roll" on iPhone 6 are playing upside down. Otherwise a five star app!! Hope the bug gets squashed or a work around is implemented. Thanks!!

This app is amazing if I could use half stars I would give it 3 and a half stars, but it has one big problem, you cant add movies you downloaded from iTunes, even though it says this in the description, I went through a lot of trouble to try to get the movie to work on the app etc: trying to screen record the movie so it would be the proper format and non drm protected. In the end though I ended up just having to record the movie with my built in camera to get it to play. I know the vr world is up and coming but this app would be my number one if you could somehow upload iTunes downloaded or any type of drm protected media to the app. In the end though what Im asking is that please, please could you guys get a deal with iTunes or something so that youre app could be a proved to play drm protected media. If youre looking to download this app though please do... Its awesome at playing all the videos in youre camera roll and for me never plays videos sideways, so if youre going to download this app I recommend to record youre favorite old movie with a screen recorder... AND MAKE SURE ITS NOT DRM PROTECTED, either way I hope you like old movies, because unless youre a pirate this app doesnt play youre favorite new movies, like interstellar or other newer blockbusters like Jurassic world. Please fix this...please.

Its really cool and has a lot of potential. I would like to be able to access YouTube or safari from the cinema. And bump up the graphics so it doesnt look like the Nintendo wii

Kinda defeats the purpose of an app if its made for Apple devices in the App Store but you cant watch movies from iTunes due to DRM where many apple users primarily buy movies from, like me. Without that I have zero use for the app.

I like the app but it needs more, a little rough but it is the beginning of VR still. It would be great if the theater itself would look more like a actual theater and not like a program. Also being able to watch YouTube or get on a browser would be great. You started out great being able to jump between the cinema and the media app without taking out your phone but you need to take it one step further. Also maybe add a controller on your seat so its easier to pull up the menu. And also make it so you can choose to have people in the theater or not, or to not be a person sitting in your seat. Thanks for the app, a great first attempt.

I loaded it on my iPhone 5. Video didnt work. Then went to website where it says "load on your iPhone 6." Got it to work there.

Please add support for iPhone 6+.

I really enjoy this app a lot. Watching movies on a phone has never been more enjoyable. It states that you have its best to have 720p movies and I added 1080p movies. Maybe this is why when I am watching I get a black screen, but that is my only drawback on the app. I dont like getting a black screen every few minutes I start a movie.

I need help every time I select something to watch it just gives me a black screen please fix this

I like the idea of a "virtual cinema". In this version there are other movie goers present in the cinema which adds to the experience. That being said, the app is pretty clunky to navigate. While it is true that you can view videos from your camera roll, there are no thumbnail views, so it is trial and error to pick the video you want to see. In addition there does seem to be some performance/framerate and screen formatting issues that other cinema apps dont exhibit (To be fair, I am using the iPhone 6 plus which the VR one doesnt support). All in all, thumbnail views would make this app a whole lot enjoyable to use.

Its amazing app. But i cant playing movies without subtitles its not support it. Pls new update with subtitle and mkv video support. Thanks
